Nah. Too weak draft to make it enticing enough for WSH. Vrana's simply too important.

I don’t think Vrana should be used to bring in a rental deal. The money in has to be the same money out as the Caps are up against the cap. He should be used to bring in a cost controlled winger so the money can be used to pay others at the end of the year.

If we're going for a rental player why would we give up a very similar player in return? A minor upgrade yes, but Vrana is younger and Caps have RFA rights to him as well, he's worth a lot more than a rental Taylor Hall

This was based on the "report " he was unhappy and wanted out.

It's true, and it's funny, and I should let you have the last word, but as a Caps fan, I could see each team giving a rumored-to-be-unsatisfied player a change of scenes, and that not being quite so bad for Washington. smile

But what's great about this post is that it's a top-six LW, a high 2nd round pick, and another 2nd round pick, the same as the WSH offer of Olofsson and the two prospects, but somehow without the picks having been made yet, they don't sound like anything, and without cap space to re-sign Hall, his trade value to WSH is small. Maybe something around Olofsson and two 2nds? I don't know.
