I watch 80% of the wild games. Like you said it’s not about points. Have you even watched a wild game? They look no where close to the team they were a year ago. The whole energy of the team has changed. They have life and it’s the first time they’ve been this way for years and it’s directly correlated to Kaprizov joining the team.

Probably a hot take, but Marner should be the MVP for the Leafs over Matthews. Both have been incredible this season, but when Matthews was injured Marner really stepped up to lead the team. Marner also plays more of a 200ft game than Matthews does. Marner is a frequent skater on the PK and is very underrated in his defensive game. Might be the best defensive forward on the team. Matthews gets the hype and attention because of the goals, but without Marner on his line I don't think he's as high as people think.
