I thought it would make sens too from CGY POV... I am kind of expecting calgary parting ways with both or one of Monahan / Gaudreau.

White is the most probable center coming the other way in a monahan swap. I think Brannstrom would also be an interesting peice for them. Would fit extremely well next to andersson. But I don't think ottawa does both for Monahan. Dube is probably the player Ott wants to make the trade happen. Not sure how he fits in CGY plans moving forward.. maybe the sens need to add a 2nd.

Gios plave is going to be taken by Valimaki by next year. Brannstrom isnt a good enough prospect to justify forcing Valimaki to the 3rd pair.

(I should have specified the future top 4 of Valimaki, Andersson, Tanev, Hanifin)

I think Brannstrom and Valimaki are very similar. You can’t play them together so I guess Gio is eventually gone. You could probably play Branny with Tanev, Hanifin with Andersson and Valimaki with a veteran 3rd pair RHD
