EDM: No way, last thing they need is another forward, especially if it comes at the price of a good Dman

VAN: I'd say they'd be dumb enough to do it trying to claw their way to the playoffs, but Juolevi may just be a bridge too far.

CAR: Depends on the internal cap situation.

PHI: Could definitely see a Philadelphia for Duchene trade. Have a ton of valuable defense prospects, and he rise of Provorov has made some of them expendable. A scoring forward with some PK skill would push them into competitive cup territory. Would need salary going the other way though. Philly is close to the cap.

The only trade I could see happening is Philly, but I'm not sure how that would effect their long-term cap plans...

You're trading an all star forward, 30 goal scorer, Canadian Olympic Gold Medalist, who has been the Avs leading scorer almost every year of his career and is still in his prime years and in not one of these deals have you brought back a bonafide Top 4 defenseman or, if going the prospect route, a 1st round pick to bolster the deal.

That's genuinely awful value for Duchene.

Do you even know who anyone in this deal is? How about you go and do some research before you comment something like that.

If anything the other teams should not make this deal (except maybe Philly) because even I know that these wouldn't make sense for like (i.e Vancouver).

Everyone has potential and all that but for the sake of this argument I'll use that term here;

Fleury has top-4 Dman potential. Considered one of Carolina's top prospects. Mcginn is a top-9 forward. And Alts is a pretty good goalie prospect.

Juolevi is one of their best prospects, if not their best, and considered to have top-2 potential.

Nurse isn't showing a top pairing potential right now because he's with Edmonton now, but if he can continue to grow into his big frame and work on his game to make it Pronger-esque, then he can become that top 3/4 Dman on the team.

Sanheim is a real good prospect who's a two-way Dman and considered one of their best Dman prospects (top-2 potential). Myers has some raw potential, but like Sanheim is a big body that can play on both sides of the puck. Laughton is a pretty good player, he can maybe develop into a top-6.
