That's an insane amount to trade for Henrique...

Liljegren is a tough case. While he has potential to be second pair RD, he also was drafted four years ago, so I don’t know how to value someone like him.

He's gotten better every year. It's just a matter of time. This season we have not had a RD miss a game. He'll be a regular next season and has the potential to be a top 4 guy. He is going to be more like Brodie than Rielly so don't trade him.

I want nothing to do with Hall. And we shouldn’t move Henrique especially if Getzalf chooses to retire

His defensive game improved that much this year?

It's improved a bunch each year. It became his strong suit. He's not an offensive defenceman like he was billed. He's a 2way guy

I must’ve caught the wrong games for him last year as I wasn’t impressed with his defensive game. I wouldn’t label him a pure liability but I didn’t see a strong 2 way game. I also only saw a handful of his games so it’s very likely.

I guess I undervalued Liljegren, hadn’t seen a ton of him either but I wasn’t blown away. Made a couple edits to send Larsson and a 5th. Leafs get the better forward who can impact now while going for the cup and downgrade D prospects from Lil to Larsson

It was a hard stretch for everyone and he was paired with another rookie as well. I think next season he'll get time with a guy who's played in the NHL more and will also be more prepared. He absolutely could get some games in this season still. I really liked him in the intersquad games. Looked simple and smart. He's a terrific skater and is surprisingly physical.
