Theres just no way a Rangers deal gets done with letting them keep all of their top 4 young pieces. Fox, Laf, Miller, Kakko.

There's also no way a Rangers deal gets done without letting them keep those 4 players. And also Shesterkin, can't forget about him.

I get the principle of this thought but at the same time if you’re blinded by the concept of having to destroy a franchise in order to give them Eichel then you might be misguided. These are prospects that aren’t failing. I wouldn’t do this deal from a Rangers perspective. Chytil has averaged 16G and 14A per 82 games as a 3rd liner through his ELC. This kid truly is going to be a 2C+. His stats are very close to par with Zibby when he first started and Zibby was playing 2C if my memory serves me. Kravs is 2 years younger that Kaprizov and for his age has been tearing up the KHL, in 2 years time will be above what Kaprizov is today. I get that you need a good return for Eichel but you also have to get past the “it must be Laf/Fox/Kkko/Miller” concept. I hope we aren’t the destination because our youth is too good to give up for 5 years of Jack(no pun intended)

Agree this deal undoes so much of the rebuild for Gorton & NYR . Eichel is an excellent player, but its not like getting Mark Messier as that last piece that puts you into the Cup conversation.
Let the market dictate Eichel's value, if Gorton & NYR stay out of the initial fray, BUF may not get that ask (4, 1st round type players) from anyone.

I agree Igor is up there, but an Eichel trade would never had a Goalie center piece

If Buffalo isn’t getting what they’re asking for then Jack isn’t going anywhere. He’s a franchise player, not the kind of guy who normally gets traded. It would likely be the most significant trade in Sabres franchise history, they would have to get a king’s ransom or they just couldn’t do it.

He is all yours my friend! Hopefully next year looks much different from this year.. injuries and COVID have affected many teams and players so let’s chalk up the worst season in the last 20 years to that and hope you guys are a different team next year. (Being genuine)

That's the ideal scenario for Buffalo, but as we can see, things don't always work out the way the Sabres want it too.
With the Sabres likely purging more at this deadline, & looking like an organization in utter chaos, there's no way Eichel is coming back next year, everybody knows this, they just aren't going to get "the ask".
If he flat out demands a trade, the return only gets worse. It's gonna be Buffalo takes the best deal on the table, probably at the draft maybe at the deadline if LAK steps up. Not saying they get a bag of pucks for him but not the ask that's currently circulating. I think the Kings got the best assets & CAP space to get him if they want to make that move.

2021 1st RD Pick

Which is 3, 1st's & a 2nd, so its actually pretty close to that 4 1sts ask ...

Buffalo traded Molgilny, Turgeon, Hasek, it happens.

With all due respect, Eichel doesn't get Fox

And Chytil would become their 1c. And Kravtsov a top-line RW. Rangers wouldn't do this deal. Too much.

Rangers easily decline that deal and we hang up as soon as Lundkvist's name is mentioned.
