The trade to end all trades

Description
So my idea for this is simple, Flames have never had an elite number one center and goalie. Now Markstrom I still think can be that goalie for the flames in a down year but Monahan isn't going to cut it, and for that matter, hasn't cut it. I like Gaudreau alot but he in my eyes doesn't bring that edge that leads teams to a cup. So this is my trade idea.

Going to the Flames, they get one of the best centers in the NHL in Jack. He is right up their with Matthews, Dri and Barkov fighting (when healthy) for that third best center spot in the league. He instantly makes the team better no matter who is being sent out. Miller comes over to balance out cap and maybe he re-finds his game as a top 4 D but most likely not. Hutton comes over because again, cap and Buffalo doesn't want or need him.

Going to he Sabers is fantastic top 6 winger in Johnny hockey, who just like Hall, could flip for a high value next year before his deal expires if they want. They get capable center depth in return with Backland who can play literally anywhere on the line up. They get two young prospects who could become top 6 forwards and top 4 D in Zary and Kylington. Rittich comes over to replace Hutton who is clearly an upgrade with RFA rights after this year. Higher picks are sent over again to help Buffalo with the rebuild again.

Overall, I think its a fair trade for both teams. Value might favor Buffalo more but again, they're giving up one of the best centers in the league.

Thoughts?

If your first though is, "Buffalo could flip this main player in the trade for more assets since he's a rental", then you're doing an eichel trade wrong

Replace Kylington with Valimaki and maybe Buffalo does it.

IMO the Sabres are NOT going to receive a premier player returned to them in any trade. And team are going to have to send about equal cap to the Sabres.
This offer posted seems to be the type best type of trade the Sabres will get. A few good players, a few prospects and a few draft picks. When Backlund and Gaudreau contracts expire, the Sabres have addiltional cap and then still have the young assets from the trade.
And really what is the Sabres leverage? They are on a 41 point pace prorated to 82 game schedule. Do Sabres really want to continue to hold onto Eichel and still miss the playoffs? A total rebuild with Eichel at his premium trade value seems the only choice the Sabres have.

So for everyone asking, you dont want a 27 year old LW nearly point per game player (500 games and 472 points or 0.944 points a game) but MUST HAVE a 24 LW with a much lower points per game (330 games and 262 points or 0.793 points per game) who often hurts the team more with dumb peantiles and reckless attitude?

Look I get it, Tkachuk is the rare breed in the NHL of a scorer and fighter who is a fan favorute, but the idea that Eichl only moves with Tkachuk coming back is laughable. Buffalo has been a losing city for 10 plus years and it is not getting any better. Teams aren't going to shell out their best players for the chance to get Buffalo's best player. Teams look at Buffalo and see a team that NEEDS to make moves, so throwing more and quantity less quality will likely move Eichel faster.

But to say again, to say that Buffalo wouldn't want a superstar in return like Johnny Hockey is laughable.

Johnny Hockey is one year away from UFA, that doesn't make sense to Buffalo.

Good thing you're not a GM of a team then, this trade does nothing for Buffalo. Here's a bunch of spare parts for what you called the third best center in the league. Why would a team who would be going into full rebuild want a 27 year old winger who disappears in playoffs and has only been regressing for the past 2 years? it makes no sense.

You think Buffalo is making playoffs in the next couple years to worry about Johnnys playoff demons? and regressed? Fat chance, like maybe players this past year and have their seasons have completely been rearranged thanks to covid.

He had 99 points in 82 a year and a half ago and were talking like hes a worthless winger. Like dude, Eichl hasn't even seen close to those numbers

my point being that why would they want a player who's in their prime since they won't be making playoffs? Johnny won't change this team. The package you're sending is underwhelming and buffalo wouldn't accept either way

SO then start with that. You're still getting an amazing top 6 player with another year on his deal after this. TRADE HIM TOO. If you sell Hall and Jack then why not do the same for Johnny? Get more young players and more picks for him. Calgary has one of the weakest prospects pools and Buffalo is already getting their best in Zary. Keep the value with Johnny and flip him for the same. Hell I would do the deal same day as Jack to maximum my value.

this trade makes no sense, why not just trade eichel to a team with the prospects and picks you're looking for instead of taking an average first and probily a top 6 center at best prospect then trading johnny for the same thing? the value isn't there anyway you look at it
