    Not enough to take Ladd and would rather give Seattle a 3 to take bailey at this point and use the two+prospect to trade for Rakell or sign someone

    If you’re prepared to lose Bailey for nothing, the Sabres could certainly be convinced he may have value to them. Considering his age and the term on his deal you may not get a great return, but more than nothing.

    No team is taking Ladd or any long term bad contract. How can tell their fans or players that the team is trying to win, when there is all that dead money eating up cap?

    Aren’t y’all about to go into another rebuild tho? Doubt you would want a guy on the wrong side of 30 showing signs of regression as much as I love the guy

    On the contrary, Sabres fans are exhausted with rebuilding. We need to be competitive immediately since they’ve been a bad joke for 10 years, or fans will stop buying tickets. That’s why they signed Taylor Hall, they thought he’d push us into being competitive at least. Bailey is a playmaker with size and a right hand shot. He could be helpful to Dylan Cozens on line 2 next year.
