Kaako for Patrick+

That's foolish to say. Kaapo Kakko is 20 years old. He's already become a terrific defensive player, the offense will come around, you watch. I've seen every Ranger game this season and I can see some serious upside to that kid.

It was a half joke but Kaako isn't going to live up to his 2nd overall pick hype, especially if he stays on the Rangers. In the Devils vs Rangers games I've watched, he's either been solid or invisible. He might break out once he gets traded to the Sabres

Well we'll see, I think the one thing he needs to figure out is where on the ice he needs to be to be effective. I still believe he can break out on the rangers especially if Bread is on his line. Give him time. He is 2nd in the whole NHL in takeways, only Mark stone has more, that's impressive.

He looked fantastic against the Caps last night. Goal was meh but he is really gaining confidence with the puck. It’ll be just fine

if Lias Andersson got traded for a second-round pick I think Patrick would at least need a first-rounder+propsect going back

I honestly think Kaapo can be a 25 goal 25 assist guy who is solid defensive. Should we have drafted Dach or Zegreas? Sure but hindsight is 20/20 and not a soul on earth had Kakko lower than 2nd overall.

The Rangers should have drafted Kaako but he won't end up being the 2nd best player from this draft class. He would be around the 5-8 range

i thought it was pretty surprising he got traded for the 60th pick in a good draft tbf, thought he wouldve gotten moved for something way later
