I can't believe that these cheapskates stiffed the kid out of $50,000 ($16,667 x 3). That's why I voted No.

He'll have one hell of a career. I think he'll be in contention for best Newfoundlander ever.

And less than every single player drafted after him in the first round who has signed to date. Every single one.

that's not even true.
Look at https://www.capfriendly.com/players/peyton-krebs

Drafted right after him.
Not only does he make less but his performance bonus is like 1/2 of his.
https://www.capfriendly.com/players/samuel-poulin
0 performance bonus

Simon Holmstrom
less pay and 0 performance bonus.

You don't even know what the hell you're talking about.

The CapFriendly page for Peyton Krebs says that his total salary is $925,000 ($825,000 base salary plus the same $92,500 signing bonus as Newhook), whereas Newhook's base salary is $782,500 for a total compensation of $875,000. Krebs can earn performance bonuses totaling $412,500 according to CapFriendly, whereas Newhook could get $50,000. If I'm reading that information wrong, there's obviously something CapFriendly isn't telling us.

When you attempt to insult people with juvenile bs like "You don't even know what the hell you're talking about," and this is the third time you've attempted to insult me with those words, you really only insult yourself.

his performance bonus is $850,000
It's almost double what Krebs is.
Be honest when looking at the numbers man. Don't act like you're blind.

Wrong. Newhook's performance bonus for NEXT year is $850,000. For this year, it's $50,000.

oh is he gonna hit his performance bonus not playing?

Not to mention you don't even look at ANY of the other forwards down the list. while making comments like

Which is clearly not even close to true.

But here you are trying to argue it unwilling to admit you're just dead wrong.
His potential earnings are higher than everyone who is a forward below him. I didn't look at defensemen because that's not really a comparable.
But it's probably true on some of those too.

Is Newhook's performance bonus this year $50,000 or $850,000? Until you develop some intellectual honesty and cop to that, nobody's interested in your opinions, erroneous or not.

you're going to lecture people about "Until you develop some intellectual honesty"

LOL

Tell me is the $0 performance bonus over the life of those contracts for the guys under him greater or less than the $850,000 per he can make per year the next two year?

The pending question stands unanswered. It won't go away no matter how you try to change the subject, which is its own kind of intellectual dishonesty.

yes the pending answer is still unanswered.
e is the $0 performance bonus over the life of those contracts for the guys under him greater or less than the $850,000 per he can make per year the next two year?
your claim is they they paid him less than every player under him. That clearly isn't true over the life of that contract. And you are just a troll who can't admit it.
So let me know when you can admit you're wrong, again.
That his contract is actually better than the players below him and some above him. That he bet on himself and he can reap the rewards.

The pending question, which I will restate since you are so eager to ignore it, was Did you or did you not say, in Comment #14 above, that Newhook's performance bonus in the first year of his contract is $850,000?

I never said first year of anything.
I said his contract peformance is 850k. Which makes his contract worth more than every forward signed under him.
You act like how the money is broken up means ****.
You said they paid him less.
WRONG.
He got MORE than anyone under him, and a few guys above him.

Still having problems admitting your wrong.
Think you can just keep posting to deflect and avoid the truth?
Will you ever admit that he has a better contract?
Nah, you salty to do that.
Later loser.

To quote you:

“You don’t even know what the hell you’re talking about.”
“Don’t act like you’re blind.”
“You are just a troll who can’t admit it.”
“Later loser.”

I don’t know why you are so hateful and bitter, but name-calling is very revealing. Almost always, it establishes who is interested in using facts, and who can only resort to juvenile invective.

Whatever is wrong with you won’t be cured by trying to insult others.

If this is what you think will give you some sort of validation, I and 99% of the people reading this feel sorry for you.

you over here trying to call people 'intellectually dishonest" and then cry when you get called a name back.
No surprise there. You can't admit you're wrong so why woud you be able to admit your own wrongs.
I have seen many people like you in life. It's always someone else's fault. Look in the mirror there.
