TOR says no
VAN and DAL say yes
NYR probably say no but it’s interesting

Rangers decline. Strome has been really great this year (and no, it’s not the Panarin effect as he was a ppg player when Panarin was out), rangers don’t have a real need for pettersson as their top 4 is locked with fox lindgren Miller and Trouba. What really takes the cake here is the salary retention on a player that’s played very good since joining the rangers

Hyman’s price is way too high and way too unreasonable for any team to even make an offer.

He is a very very key piece to the Leafs.

The easiest way to explain this is: Zach Hyman’s price is more than Nylander’s or Tavares’s. He isn’t for trade.

Remove Riikola and Currie and put in a half decent prospect and then Dallas accepts.

That might be a bit of a stretch in terms of trade value. But yes, he is an important piece to this team and won't be moved.

He trade value obviously wouldn’t be that high. But his price would be. His value to the team is way higher than his trade value.

If that makes sense

Yeah no

Then you don’t get Hyman.

I told you the price is unreasonable.

It does, I see where you are coming from. But it won't even get to that point, Dubas isn't going to entertain even the idea of moving him.

Prob need to add a 1st to the Rangers deal. And I'm not sure that even gets it done.

you take out the 2nd and the retention and the TOR trade is probably fair.
The question is can TOR afford the cap hit, especially going forward.
They will have a hard time resigning him. He's probably gone next year.

You’d need a different piece coming to the rangers. Something that fits their needs more. Which at this point is just a center prospect and a mid pick considering the lack of depth in Pittsburgh’s prospect pool
