This would be terrible. The 3rd line of Nichuskin-Jost-Donskoi literally has the highest xGF% of ANY line in the entire league with more than 100mins TOI together. No reason to trade Jost or split that line up.

I'll take a 3rd for bernier, I don't care for jost.

Bednar's system requires that every forward be good and committed to backchecking hard on every shift. Gusev doesn't have the defensive game, nor the speed, to fit into Colorado's team.

I was shocked when I saw this this morning , donskoi is doing the heavy lifting though, still I wouldn't mess with it either

Donskoi is shooting at 30% but is playing really well. He has a perfect platform to pinch offensively and play his game now given that Avs have two really good defensive players on his line, as compared to when Compher was C (who for his faults is playing MUCH better now that he is back on the wing again, as expected. He just isn't a C).

That’s good because I guarantee the Avs would give up a 3rd and not give up Jost. He is killing it defensively and now starting to add some offense, check his stats particularly shot share and corsi

Oh i know jost is a quality guy and points arent all about it but he just doesn't fit what our team needs at the moment. We have guys who will slot I to that role. The pick just makes more sense is all.

I get the idea but where would they play him? He would have to PLAY 10 games and he isn’t going to be in the lineup ahead of Anybody in the top 9 and if guys are healthy he isn’t playing over Calvert LOC or Compher.
