Alot of factors
1. Covid - He had Covid and this year in general has been weird
2. New coach/new system - Doesn't fit the system
3. Emergence of Wood, Zacha, Johnsson - Lost his top 6 role to these players
4. Hasn't been given too many chances - Ruff is just not playing him in the lineup and I don't get why. Ruff should be playing him over Merkley or Boqvist

Change in coaches/ changes in system. Plus Hischier has been out almost the entire season, which I believe really hurt the top-6 play.

Oh interesting. Definitely seems like the Devils top-6 is a bit of a revolving door so I could see him losing his spot potentially. Sucks that he got Covid and is in Ruff’s doghouse though.

Balcers and Leonard are pretty much interchangeable imo. Maybe for Donato, but no one else really that he would make the jump over.
