Wings 22

Created by: RedWings4Life
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 1, 2021
Published: Apr. 1, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Wings will have ridiculous amounts of cap, it is exciting to see what they do. I really have no idea. They would be able to go after just about everyone in free agency. I think Yzerman is going to let all the young guys filter in and I expect Veleno, Raymond and Seider to join the team next season. I would think that Gagner, Glendening, Helm, Nemeth, and Ryan would be trade bait or, at least, not returning. I poached Montour from Buffalo in free agency, and picked up Danault and Hinostroza (felt like those would be somewhat more realistic). Retained Bernier, he's been great. Doubt this team would be great but if the young players acclimate quickly they might not be horrible. Still crap tons of cap left, I have no idea who Yzerman would go after though.

Seems pretty realistic to me. I think Jonatan Berggren has a good chance of making it to the team next year as well.

Maybe Seattle gives Evgeny Svechnikov a chance.

I agree Steve does something offensively to help this team. They need a 2nd top 6 center like crazy. I sure we see seider and veleno next season and I hope berggren but id bet he leaves Raymond in Europe another year unless he dazzles at camp.
