You want a 1 and 3 with retention Bhahahaha You don't seriously think that's possible do you really?
TB can send that to Seattle not retain and v5e done wIth the EX DRAFT .
Why the heck would he waive to San Jose

3yrs x $4M is $12M dollars. Remind me again how much TOR paid to get rid of 1yr of Marleau's $5.75M contract? (which they amortized over 2yrs)

TB could buy Johnson out, but then they'd be on the hook for all of the $1M+ next year, then $3M, the $2M, etc...
This move reduces TB's exposure by $4,333,336 and shortens it by 3yrs.

I didn't qualify with a note this time, but this trade would occur if SEA doesn't take Johnson.

He has a 20-team trade list. I guarantee SJ is on that list.

It sounds like you want Vanecek, but aren't sure what pieces SJ has that could get it done. I'd bet that if WSH shops Vanecek they'd love to get an expansion exempt prospect or two, anywhere but LHD.

Then you'd know a person making $5M/yr wouldn't have any issues thriving in CA, and that more people live in CA than anywhere else in the US for a multitude of reasons despite the taxes.

Regardless, thank you for your service, but it still doesn't excuse being a d!ck.

I'd be down. No one too crazy - they're already moving up like 25-30 spots in the draft - but someone with potential fer sher.

Oh. I meant as an alternative, since Tampa seems hesitant to move Johnson at the given rate. But if you want to offer prospects AND picks, yeah, I bet WSH gets really excited about it, especially right at the end of the season, so they don't have to make a deal with Seattle for them not to take Vanecek.

NGL, I might be down to send WSH Dahlen straight up for Vanecek. I'm kinda over him putting SJ on the back burner.

The prices are high not because of taxes but because of pure supply and demand economics; lots of people move here, there's only so much real estate. Which, also proves that any land purchased here is guaranteed to increase in value. It attracts a lot of investors and developers. If you would've bought CA property in the 90s after your service it would be worth 10x more now.

Cost of living is expensive, but it's also completely manageable for millions of people, and, if you are able to purchase property it would be a guaranteed retirement plan that you could live in. There are positives and negatives about everything; perspective determines quality of experience.

California is able to charge 13%+ in taxes and still has people climbing over one another to be there.

Tampa Bay has no taxes and is a wasteland.

What place really sucks?

For the record, they are both fine places, with advantages and disadvantages. But overall I think that in Florida Miami and Orlando are the only places I'd want to live. California has numerous cities, including San Jose, that are great.

Thats why Florida according to USPS change of address info has the highest population increase of any state in the last 5 years while California has had a mass Exodus
I said CA tax rate and Cost of living suck and they do. Never said California itself sucks
