Not sure how Hall helps the Leafs at all. A first and two seconds, two fourths seems awfully steep that no other team would pay.

Hall is an elite top line forward. He would help for certain.

Not for this price though. Forget that.

(Please don't chime in about his stats this season either. I don't care. He is a couple years removed from dragging a horrible Jersey team into the playoffs singlehandedly and winning the Hart in the process).

His stats this year are irrelevant on that dumpster fire of a franchise. Hall still has more points than Kerfoot does in the same amount of games even in that black hole of an organization.

Kerfoot + 1st round pick.... Sign me up all day for that.

This price here is just dumb IMO.

Sabres have no use for Kerfoot. With Reinhart going back to center, they will have Eichel- Reinhart-Cozens first 3 centers next season. They need forward prospects and draft picks.

Sorry Sabre fans, in virtually any Hall trade, a similar cap has to be returned to the Sabres even with retention to make it work for the other team.
Gee, I don't know why Sabres fans or anyone would think Hall over Kerfoot even improves the Leafs this year.

Kerfoot is horrible and Hall is good? I don’t see Hall fitting on the leafs, they need better centers and need another goalie.

Despite the injury problems to their goalies, Leafs are 8th in GAA. Fourth in goal scoring. So goalies and centres aren't really a big problem though certainly the Leafs would look at any players to improve.

"]Kerfoot is horrible and Hall is good?" I glad you made that quote with a question mark...Certainly Kerfoot isn't horrible . He's not a natural goal scorer but certainly is responsible defensively and has played well all season. Is Hall and his two goals with premium time at winger any benefit to the Leafs at the expense of Kerfoot? I don't think so.

I guess that would be fine with me Hall is good, Kerfoot isn’t. Jack Campbell has been amazing, but a nice backup addition wouldn’t be bad at all considering Andersen never shows up in the playoffs.

It really doesn't matter because I just don't care what you think about it anyways.

Kerfoot and a 1st gets that deal done. I know how the Sabres operate.

I don’t think a team is offering a first.

A 1st and another asset is a very reasonable offer. I just don't have a lot of confidence that the Sabres management team and ownership group is simpatico.

It is a disaster in Buffalo and their fans deserve much, much better.
