He made a goal saving play, was generally impressive in the Leafs end of the rink. Probably his best game of the season.

He has his ups and downs just like most players do but I'm not sure why he gets singled out. I see Rielly making at least one bad pinch every game and I never hear peap about that.

I think more than anything, Rielly needs to better understand when it's a good time to pinch and when it's not.

I've been okay with Dermott's play this season so far.

Brodie's been a guardian angel for Rielly this season.

Dermott's been pretty good overall. Again, this thread seems sarcastic so I don't know if he did something bad Friday night.

I guess sarcastic makes sense considering the hate the man has taken.

I have generally been impressed with Dermot this year as well. I think he's really settled into his role and playing his natural side with a solid defender as his partner has helped for sure.
Earlier everyone was expecting him to be a top 4 or top 2 D and play his off side. It's good to see him given a more appropriate role and hopefully he can keep growing.
