I'm vomiting at that Philly deal. Hart is about the worse goalie in the league this year. Patrick is interesting but has had a poor NHL career thus far (obviously his migraines have limited him). A 26 year old AHL defenseman to top it off

Honestly yea Hart has been bad, but if you watched any flyers games this year you would know how non existent our D has been. Hart was brilliant in front of a mediocre D core the last two years, his skill didn't just disappear. His poor stats are a combo of getting lit up from having literally 0 defense in front of him all season and being tasked with too much of a work load game after game, there were a lot of nights where AV should not have left him in and mentally he's in his head right now. Flyers need new D and to off set his work load a little bit and he will be just fine. I think he's considered still untouchable by the flyers front office.

that being said its still a terrible trade for Toronto as they try and make a cup run, Patrick is a bust at this point and we would be getting extreme over payment for just Carter hart.

Goalies are voodoo. I'm not saying he's worthless but he wouldn't be the first goalie to have a hot couple years and regress hard. He's certainly not the kind of guy the leafs should be acquiring on a cup run. His value is long term. Not right now.
