Kekkalainen is going to sit that one out. He is going to get a new coach; work on the Jones and Werenski extensions; figure out what to do with his captain; and work on that Laine bridge/arbitration.

Wasn't Roslovic upset in Winnipeg because he wasn't getting enough ice time? Being a third-line center again probably won't be agreeable for him. But yes, I would LOVE to see his addition.

They should have gotten him from Winnipeg to begin with.

Yup, he was stuck behind Scheifele and Little in Winnipeg. However, when Little went down with injury (and after using Wheeler at 2C for a bit), Roslovic wasn't consistent enough to win the 2C job and it went to Copp to finish out the season.

I think he's a decent winger, but he's a headcase who think's he's a center even though he's 36.8% faceoff this year.
He is not what they need at center. That is how you get stuck in your own zone in a defensive role.

I don’t think it’s a head case thing. I think he wasn’t properly developed at the position and is now “going back to school” to relearn the position. The face off thing just takes time to learn. He’ll get it.it’s the positioning and responsibility thays the issue.

he should be a winger. He's never had strong faceoffs in the NHL, and they have got worse the more responsibility they have asked him to take. It's not like he's new to taking them. It's not like he hasn't worked on them before. He's just not good at it.

He was a winger in Winnipeg. He never learned how to play center full time. Paul failed him and torts is too stubborn to help him learn. He needs time. And he may fail. They need to really invest in his time at center in a middle six role and not a number one. Let’s agree to disagree but in the end I definitely see a reality where he doesn’t make it as a center but I don’t think the book is out yet.

I'd demand Crosby in return. Not that he's normally worth that much, but hey, you're asking for the hometown kid we got as part of getting The Traitor exiled to the frozen wastes, so evidently unreasonable requests are on the table.
