    Blues and Wings accept.

I think the Habs should hang on to Suzuki and that the Jets should hang on to PLD.

Suzuki is still on his ELC until the end of next year and the Jets paid a fortune to get PLD in the first place.

Are you thinking Jets say yes or no? Honestly this trade is closer than most think. I think Dubois is going to be killer, but has had an off start. Jets say no as they want Dubois to be wheelers replacement.

I'm thinking that the Jets say yes because Suzuki is still on his ELC until the end of next season and will not have any arbitration rights at that point.

Dubois has a cap hit of 5 million and will have arbitration rights at the end of next season.

The cap space that separates Suzuki's cap hit and Dubois' cap hit can be used to go get a player or a couple players of value for the Jets.

On the business side of things, this trade is a clear win for the Jets.

Meh, I have no interest in Kulak. The value is fine, I just don't see any point in him on the Wings.

    Blues... accept.

Hmm. After the season perhaps, unless another team offers something better.

I could see the Jets accepting that deal because, at least in my opinion, the difference between Suzuki and Dubois is not that far off and Suzuki will be on an ELC without arbitration rights. The Jets would be able to afford to go after another free agent. However, I do not think Bergevin does this deal: the rumor was that he turned down a deal similar to this in the offseason because he didn't want to give up Suzuki: I doubt he gives up cap flexibility for a slight upgrade in Dubois. It's close, but I'd keep Suzuki.

I also think the trade with the Blues is fair value. I won't comment on the rest. smile
