Leafs odds 0 out of 0. For me personally anyways. I have 0 interest in an old veteran that's 10 years past his prime. We have 2 of those already.

Islanders should be way higher. They have a huge need at wing and Lou has already traded for Palmeri before. Not to mention Lou just made a trade with NJD last trade deadline.

I agree that the Islanders have more of a need for a scoring winger than the Leafs, but I believe that the reason why the OP has the Leafs at higher odds than the Islanders are for 2 reasons:

            1. Not wanting to trade to a team within the division. I know that Palmieri is on an expiring deal, but the team that trades for him likely has a slightly higher chance of re-signing him.
            2. Dubas' comments about his willingness to trade his young assets, which probably entices NJ.

And yes, Boston is technically in the same division right now, but they won't be after this season when it really matters.

I do not think he's way past his prime, and I also do not think that 30 is the new 35. He's a good player and a pending UFA and would help any team in the playoffs. I personally think that while they are in the same division, Lou may still make a serious run at him: there is no guarentee that he will resign with the Isles (they are tight against the cap), and there would still the the possibility that he signs with the Devils in the offseason. If the Devils can use that to get some young and talented assets out of the Isles, than I would do it. It all depends on what the market will dictate. (at least these are my opinions). smile

            This is correct.
Leafs have prospects....and the type of prospects the Devils want or need. And Dubas has said he is willing to move them.
Bruins have very few prospects. But greater desire to make a deal...and logical connection to the player (Palmieri lives in Boston in off-season, trains with some of the Bruins).
Carolina has need for player, the prospects or young players to trade.

You will have to bring that up with your GM
I certainly cannot help in these regards.

Canes aren’t going to do a rental deal. Last year was a special situation due to Dougies injury. Waddell has gone on record several times and on multiple different media outlets that the Canes are not in the rental market.
