so we lose a power forward who can get close to a point per game and a 1st round pick for a forward getting paid over 7.5 million into his 40s who hasn't gotten a point per game for 10 seasons?!

AND we retain 50%?!!

no way

I think the addition of Hartman, Parise and Hunt would help the sharks to contend next year. You got to get a solid goalie in addition to those moves. You also get a solid D prospect into the system. I forgot to cancel the salary retain of Kane and I am sorry for that misunderstanding.

ok, that definitely makes the deal closer, but still way in favor of the Wild. Hartman, Hunt, and Belpido all don't have much value.

IMO this isn't even close to close, plus Minny gets a first?? 4 more years of Parise at 7.5 puts the Sharks in a much worse position. Hunt adds no value as a 6/7 Dman, Hartman is a 3rd / 4th liner, Belpeidio is nothing.

In this deal, Minny sheds a contract they don't want, gets a first, and gets a player who (although he can be a problem at times) has a much higher future ceiling (and he's 7 years younger).
