If Fred goes to LTIR

Created by: leafsFan1996
Team: 2020-21 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 5, 2021
Published: Apr. 5, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
line 1 - top 5 line in the league
line 2 - basically a 1st line thats a second line
line 3 - defensive bottom 6 line, play more when in the lead
line 4 - offensive bottom 6 line, play more when you need a goal

Merril as a 7d since Sandin and Lilly haven't played in the A. they should get Sandin a Lilly some games before the playoffs so you know what you have, and you're not putting them in a situation to fail.

both Laughton and Kerfoot can play spot duty in the top 6 if there are injuries, they have plenty of bottom 6 replacement options if there is an injury there.

Ullmark is needed considering SOupy is playing through and injury and Fred hasn't seen the ice in 3 weeks.

I'm not saying he's going to the leafs but I'd bet he gets traded in the next week and a second or so is what I expect

The Sabres want to retain him, he only moves if he flat out refuses to resign, which he has shown 0 indication of

I just would think he'd have signed by now if he were staying. But we shall see

Hes had a lot more to worry about over the last 2 months, with his father dying and then a covid lockdown then he got hurt

The Leafs going on a huge losing streak and missing the playoffs is a bigger surprise.

They could definitely lose out and still be a better team, and a more attractive place for FAs to sign, than Buffalo. Especially for the hometown players.

It's a different situation as if Ullmark doesn't sign they likely trade him. So there is a sooner deadline. Hyman and the leafs have the deadline of the summer

I'm surprised you gave to Flyers for Laughton than what you gave to the Sabres for Ullmark.
Admitting I would like those two guys.

Sabres hard pass

what is a fair trade for this guy then? he's a rental and even if the Sabres want to re-sign him, why would he want to be a Sabre?
