Savard is a bit better than Dermott.
Foligno is a solid amount better than Kerfoot.
The 2nd closes the gap.
I could definitely see this happening.
Good work!

Thanks Bro, not quite worth a first, but Kerfoot is younger, and he's shown a lot this year at a reasonable cap hit. Foligno can come back next year to CLB if he wants to be a depth player. better future for CLB

If Torontos first was a first and not an expected 27th pick, I'd agree with everything you guys just said.

But since your pick is going to be a borderline second anyway I would want the first from CBJ

Remember a second isn't a top 50 pick.

Agreed, it's a lower end second. And I'd move it to a first. But Savard isn't coming back to CLB, and Foligno probably not either. The chance of Dermott becoming a top 4, and Kerfoot giving CLB a 2/3 center that plays both ways at a decent cap hit is the value that drops the pick. I'd prefer to keep Kerfoot over Foligno honestly, but the Leafs need to get deeper for the playoff run. I'll take the depth on D to insulate the goaltending injury woes over keeping the younger forward.

Kerfoot is a cap offset and CBJ wont let you forget it or treat him like he's a value piece even if he is.

He'll get hired by a team with no high priced superstars. He does well in those circumstances. Can't handle divas....

Those teams either don't exist or won't be hiring because bad teams don't usually blame the coaches.
