Laine is a mystery box. He might want 9-10 million per season and I don’t see the Blues interested in that high of a price.

If they could sign him for around 7 million per year then maybe they work out some blockbuster

I think any trades they make will be for futures but we’ll see

Idk since both schwartz and tatar are ufa's, it's not out of the realm of possibilities that they be extended beyond this season.

I agree with you about signing after expansion draft. @Mokumboi seemed to know of extension talks elsewhere. But I don’t think it has anything to do with the cap this year because the extension would be for next year and onward. Anyway, if we play like we did tonight on Friday and Saturday against the Wild, don’t think Schwartz is being traded. But if we lose both games, I think it’s more of a possibility.
