We still need Kerfoot for Seattle Draft to leave him exposed. if we don't have him to leave exposed, who do we leave? Other than that its good we have a starter or 1a.
Freddy Andersen will go anyways, might as well get some pucks for him.
    Ottawa trade perfect for us.

Why do we need to send a pile of assets for a goalie? Campbell is the guy.

Why? Biddington won the cup in his first playoff. Murray won two cups in his first 2 playoffs. Campbell is the guy and Andersen is insurance unless he's injured. Its not like Keumper has a long history of playoff success.

true and if there is no goalie move i would start campbell in the playoffs, but there are two ways it can go, it could go well or he can crack under pressure. I would potentially try to play it safe if thats the option and i just wanted to get rid of kerfoot smile

I don't mind Dzingel. Not sure he would cost a 2nd but interesting idea.

Dzingel with retention would be a 3rd, with bishop a 2nd

Bishop isn't a big name, just a 4th liner, but he is a pretty valuable one. He is young (25), and he does these little things right, like on the forecheck and while driving plays

Andersen could re-establish his hold as the #1 though as well. I think Campbell is the guy though.

Hutchinson plus one of Campbell or Kuemper.

Which kind of kills that trade.

And it was an overpay anyways.

Also Matthews plus Marner play against the other teams best players McDavid, Petterson, etc.

    Dzingel is horrible defensively.

Therefore, Dzingel would not be a good fit with those two. Kind of the reason Thornton eventually lost his spot on that line.

In all honesty i was just trying to get rid of kerfoot, that could have been ullmark coming back or elvis

Then you're a panicked fan. Some other goalie isn't going to be the saviour. The team is solid, they have a great offense and a great defence and their goaltending right now is deadly. Andersen if he is healthy will be amazing insurance. I will say I don't trust Andersen either. I don't think he will lose us any games but he doesn't steal any either which we will need from time to time. Campbell certainly seems to be able to do that.

Kerfoot is playing well though? There is no need to subtract from this team. Add some depth sure but moving our guys who are doing good is silly.

Elvis presents the exact same problem. Buffalo likely wants to keep Ullmark, so probably have to overpay.

Agree with PleaseBan. What's the rush in getting rid of Kerfoot. Sure he's not Kadri, but he's our most versatile forward. Can play C or W. Can play Top 6 or bottom 6. Decent offence, decent on D. Alright on the PP, is pretty good on the PK. Our only natural C that plays the PK. He's the Leaf swiss army knife, which becomes important in the playoffs.

He's a wayyyyyyyyy better fit on the Leafs than Dzingel.

The only way he's moved is for a clear upgrade (which Dzingel is not).
