I get that it's only a 6th round pick, but I see zero chance that Guerin wastes an asset to acquire a bottom 6 LW who would be on his 6th team in 4 years as a rental. He's been adamant that any deal he makes at the deadline this year will be to help the team long term. Rieder is not only a short term asset, but he is a redundant one. We have more than enough bottom 6 left shot left wings in the organization. Adding him wouldn't help us at all. Rieder isn't the difference between us and a cup.
Also, if we are for some reason in need of a LW for a few games, we have Matt Boldy who we can call up and give an opportunity.
