The Leafs don’t have cap space for Holtby next year, and you can get any random goalie for cheap in a trade without such a large cap hit.

Leafs need centre Engvall a lot more than Pearson. No way Holtby can fit in the cap next season. Gee, if he's an iffy NHLer right now.
