Think a lot of it has to do with what is the cost. Rumors swirling are that this is going to be a buyer's market so if DW can get something done for a better deal than he would in the offseason, then I think it makes sense. That said, I think another center is far more necessary than a top 6 winger given the emergence of Balcers and the overall log jam we are going to have for 3rd line wingers moving forward (Donato, Leonard, and Blichfeld all capable now and then add in the incoming of Dahlen, Wiesblatt, and Chekhovich as guys battling it out for one of those spots next year).

Would much rather find a 2/3 center to either bump Hertl to the wing or bump Gambrell down to the 4th line where he's a better overall fit. Would say it is unlikely that DW pulls the trigger on something like this unless there's a path to getting rid of a big contract in the process.
