Description

It sounds like the Coyotes will be pretty quiet at the deadline this year. Armstrong says he’s only interested in hockey trades that improve the team long-term. Also says that he’s likely holding onto the pending UFAs for the Coyotes playoff run.

Best piece of news in the article was that Garland trade rumors were never real. One GM asked about him and was told to pound sand, and as a result the other GM leaked it. Sick league

If an NHL GM tells another GM to "pound sand" simply for asking about a players availability, he deserves to have rumors leaked about his team lol.

A simple "hes not available" would suffice.

Thanks for the news report.

I've been saying for weeks that there is no reason for the Coyotes to entertain any offers other than the outrageous for any member of the future core (Dvorak, Garland, Keller, Schmaltz, Chychrun) to be traded. But people keep trying to move these guys to their team, ignoring the reality that Arizona is a building team on the upswing, not a team ready to start shedding baggage.

A simple "hes not available" would suffice.

Alright that may have been an exaggeration haha all he said in the interview was a team asked, they discussed it, and nothing came of it. Just said that they were by no means shopping him and that they did not leak the info that they were listening cause it was a one-off thing.

I'm glad we can end some of these atrocious "here's a mid round pick and a mediocre prospect for Garland because I know the Coyotes are trying to get rid of him to save money" proposals.
