Danault is great, but I'm not seeing a reason why the Avs would look to deal Burakovsky. Unless you're suggesting cap concerns, in which case Danault solves nothing haha

So you suggest the habs sign Danault to an extension then trade him less than a year later?

And Weber isn’t retiring this soon.

if the avs trade bura in 21-22' it would be because they want cap space. 1st + a 'b' prospect like primeau or norlinder should be close

Woah woah woah big ask for a guy who really isn’t that good. I get that it might be the ask but I think that would be enough to just not make this be a talking point

I don't think Primeau is a 'B' prospect...He's the 2nd best prospect in the organisation behind Caufield. Depends how you rate your prospects, maybe. I think here in Mtl he's considered to make a NHL player in 2 years.

Danault wants 5.5.M. I don't see him signing unless Bergy caves,
I'm also sure Danault wants some sort of trade protection. He's being selfish which is his right, I just hope he finds the money elsewhere.

he'd be 3rd in habs scoring. 2nd highest forward. he's good.

he's on par with a slew of their defensemen and a few forwards. i wouldn't say he a clear cut 2nd
