Unless they cancel the expansion draft, this doesn’t work.

Also, the Bruins walked away from Krug and Chara, so they have a level of trust in the current squad and given they have all been injured and at one point the Bruins were down their top 4 D men, they really dont know what they have. Its unlikely they make a move like this even without the expansion draft.
