That Toronto trade makes no sense for the Leafs.

Andersen is a pending UFA so they wouldn’t lose him to Seattle.

So now essentially they would be taking an extra year on Koskinen to save half a million this year this season.

While brotherly reunions are neat and all, we don't actually have a need for Caleb in the organization, so you're going to have to pay the picks for Savard like anyone else.

I agree with you to an extent but things could get interesting this offseason with Werenski. It is very possible the Jackets may need to move him to get the center help we need.

Acquiring Caleb Jones does not address that any more than trading for the likes of Alex Kerfoot would address our top-6 C issues.

No, not as impactful but Caleb Jones could provide a solid and more long term solution to 3-4 defenseman role on this team should the Jackets move Werenski.
