Svechnikov might be traded but not for Malgin at best it's a lateral move.

I just can't see guys like Malgin, Barabanov, Marincin, Petan, etc... carrying much value.

Just seems like alot of AHL filler thrown into these trades. Thats 9 non-NHL roster guys you've put into these trades, and at most a couple are mid-level prospects and thats kind of generous. Its not really overpayments/underpayments, just moving contracts.

I think PHI and DAL get better offers, as the proposed deals have some okay/almost right picks but then you've just thrown bodies in looking like value.

PHI has 4 better forwards in AHL who get the callup before Petan, and Kral is way down the list as well, (he might be as low as 10th among forward prospects), which leaves the 2nd which is about right, but PHI is at 50 contracts, so couldn;t take 2 players for 1 anyways, never mind 2 players they wouldn;t want.

Theres just not real value from the Leafs

No from Dallas, there isn't any value here, not interested.

First off, Laughton is a solid player and he is a rental, plus he would only be on the Leafs for a few weeks in the regular season plus the playoffs means that he isnt going to cost all that much, and a tweener depth player, a mid level prospect and a 2nd is adequate value imo. The other trades skew more to the depth side, and it never hurts to add that at the deadline. Some of these guys went through waivers, so there isnt much value to any of those guys tbh thats why I would make some depth moves.

It might be a short season, but youre not going to put that asterisk next to it, if you win the cup though.

Yes its a short deadline, but either youre going for it or youre not.

I wont address what I already did, (which is just a clear out of NOT JUST non roster/but never weres/probable never will be guys, but I can guarantee you that PHI has no interest in either of those players, (neither comes close to what they already have) and if they trade Laughton they'll get far better offers.

If you really want to improve your chances and acquire guys like Laughton and Oleksiak who appear to be in demand, then you offer what another team might actually accept, not what you are willing to give
