Doubt Boston gives up a 1st + for their 3rd pair RHD. I also don’t see Savard getting a 1st and a prospect at the deadline.

Savard is a unique defenseman. When he is on his game he can be a defensive stalwart and provide unexpected offense. Savard is also the most sought after defenseman on the market with Ekholm no longer being shopped. You may be right but teams do weird things around this time of year.

Don't believe you can do conditional picks like that anymore. As much as I'd like Savard, I'd pass at that price

Conditional picks are allowed but they cannot be based on resigning a player or based on player’s stats. This one is perfectly legal
