        Good job avoiding overpaying UFAs

        The Rakell trade though... why

Why unload future assets for a rental at that point

In the description I did put with an Ext in place. I think we need to add a solidified top 6 forward to make this an overall better team. Yes, the Hall expierement didnt work. Hopefully Rackell has better luck. But I like RR offensive game, he can put the puck in the net and he's a solid playmaker. I was able to make R. Johnson expendable with drafting Owen Power, as that would give you Dahlin and Power on the left side of your D. And you'd still have Bryson and Samulesson there as well. I kept the BUF picks and moved the acquired later round picks to get him. Overall, i thought it was a wise move.

If your LHD core is Dahlin Bryson Johnson and Samuelson, why take Power #1. He honestly has not even impressed me that much. I think it would be much more beneficial taking Beniers, Eklund, or some other offensive fire power. If you truly aren't sold on the early offensive players trade back and gain more assets. Or get a rakell with that pick instead (with some additives)

I agree with you, but if Power is the best player in the draft by a bit, I think BUF takes him. I agree, I'd rather draft an offensive player, but will BUF do that ? I would certainly trade back to a spot or 2 if we can get additional assets to do so. I would also consider trading the #1 pick to Columbus for Laine, if they are interested.
