Description

For all intents and purposes this season is done. Miller will be approaching UFA status when Vancouver will be entering it's competitive window; Now is the time to maximize the return for him. Miller fits Boston's timeline much better and is exactly what they are looking for. Much of the fan base will hate this trade, but if this season has illuminated anything, it's the lack of NHL ready depth in this organization. In the NHL teams don't win without depth....i

I think any top 6 FW that can score, PK and have the impact that Miller can make would be a significant add for them.

It's a bit too much from Bruins POV.

Selling really low on Debrusk. Beecher or the 1st needs to not be a part of the trade.

Keep Gaudette. Don't need another bottom six MA kid.

The cost is high, but considering this is not a rental, its not unreasonable. A top six rental will likely cost at least a first (or a second plus a prospect), the extra two years, very reasonable cap hit and the potential to recoup value has significance. I included Debrusk to balance out salary, nothing more. IMO he's not a plus, but probably required to make the deal work. Gaudette to me has upside, especially as a cost controlled bottom 6 with offensive potential.
