If vegas is hoping to re-sign smith then yeah this trade definitely doesn’t happen. However, I’m assuming that after next year, smith will walk anyways. Offensively, gaudreau is much better than Smith and I think he could get back to his point-per-game scoring playing with Stone

And looking at the contracts no one is signing Bennett to that contract. It should be 1.5x1-2 max

Good point. I gave him a big contract since he has arb rights but looking at his past play the last two years, I imagine Calgary would rather not qualify him than sign him to a contract that size.
