Your plan sounds great that’s exactly what I’d do if in charge of Buffalo. Not sure what else can be done there. If looking for a deal with unattractive contracts but good mentor I’m sure a deal can be made with Edmonton for Neal his contract expires within your window and is a very good guy to have around the team. I doubt Edmonton would give a significant piece to move him but might be something there.

Bruins aren't giving both Frederic AND a second. We're not giving up some good physicality in frederic either.

If someone offered a late 1st for Frederic right now, which you can use to trade for someone else, would you do it?

you can have ADA for future considerations, but no picks will be involved.
that 3rd rounder is essentially a late 2nd and is more important than the $800K buyout.

UMMMM, you're probably not aware of why Ghost was on waivers, (team had 8 dmen and 3 goalies on roster and Ghost was most likely not to be picked up off waivers), but he isn;t on waivers anymore, (he played last night). So the chance of getting off waivers again is probably gone.

Depends on what player you're flipping the first for.

Again depends on the player I'm using that 1st to get. If its a rental probably not. If its a guy with term that can play either Top 6 wing or Top 4 LHD, then I'd consider it. I'm not trading Frederic for a 1st unless I have a deal lined up and need that first.

Palmieri let's say. No because he is a rental?

      No I wouldn't, but I also wouldn't pay a 1st for Palms in general

From a Sabres' perspective this is not an intelligent retool.... DeAngelo is a bad person and no one wants anything to do with him. Ghost is not good on defense and that contract is bad. No way Boston makes that trade, Frederic is miles better than Montour. Eakin is terrible and you have him on the top line? Cozens is no where to be seen and Bryson is scratched? Ruots is not playing? ULLMARK THE BACKUP????????There are many things wrong here
