This trade would only be reasonable if it were after the expansion draft (also fair value both ways) otherwise I can guarantee you NYR loses Barrie and if they protect 4 d then they are going to lose a hell of a forward. Barrie in NYR makes sense but they need to stop moving out young pieces and draft picks otherwise it will catch up to them, they also need to move out a big contract in order for this to work long term.

If they acquire a dman like Barrie, DG will get bought out before expansion draft or traded. Also, Avs are rebuilding so they'd take prospects. Personally I'd consider seeing if Graves makes the team next season before trading him. He's a big guy who can play.

Sorry but I dont see how this helps the Avs unless they plan on going full rebuild and tearing it all down. Doesnt sound like they want to go that far so this is a deal that the Avs would want no part of

Barrie is a rover, not a top pair D, we'd still have DG as top shut down D. He's not a good fit. Tanev, Shat, Trouba or cheaper Oduya...

The whole point for them is to garner high end prospects. What you just said makes no sense.

If Duchene and Landy get traded, I can guarantee you that the Avs will go full rebuild and build around Mac. And "no part in"? I'm pretty sure they would take two really good prospects and a 1st for a top-4 Dman. Though there's probably something better out there than the trade I put up for them.

The 1st will be in the late 20s in a weak draft so its really not that great of a piece compared to other years, but an asset is an asset
Ryan Graves is a LHS prospect and taking their only pucking moving RHS Dmen out from the roster wont help them. They have a lot of D prospects who are LHS who similar or greater upside molds in Zadorov and Bigras.

Like I said, I just dont see how the pieces help them, and yours right its nothing that is all that cant miss for them and I think other teams will have better trade offers out there.

If they move Barrie, they wont be moving Landy and Duchene. They arent moving 3 core guys out. That would be a complete 3-4 year rebuild and I dont think they are going that route. If they make any trade it would be only 1 of them IMO
