Description
I’ve heard the top two targets for the Isles are Palmieri and Brown. Brown could be a good fit on the 1st line as that power forward Trotz loves to have. Palmieri can fit pretty much any where along the wings on lines 1-3, but for now, it looks like Beau-Nelson-Bailey has found their mojo again. A 3rd line of Palmieri-Pageau-Wahlstrom would still be lethal.

Not keen on acquiring Hall. He’s better than he’s playing, sure, but that doesn’t mean I’d gamble a 1st rounder that he’d fit. Granted, I’m more for sitting still this TDL, but “let’s do nothing” posts are boring.

Dustin Brown isn't going anywhere unless he directly asks for a trade. I suppose it's possible that he has requested a trade, but his family is very comfortable in Manhattan Beach. I can't imagine he's going to want to leave now. Maybe next year as a rental.

Brown is a rw and it would force the isles to trade one of beau/sorokin. Not happening.

Apparently the isles are working on a trade for hall

Agreed 100% Brown doesn’t make sense for a variety of reasons unless they are moving Ladd to LA and Bailey to LW and even then they would probably have to pay a king’s ransom (pun intended) and the cap situation would still be brutal next season.

Also STOP LISTENING TO EKLUND! That guy is literally making a living off of complete bull****.

LAK don’t have to move brown so we’d have to give up a ton of assets and be screwed next season just to get a 37 year old winger.

I’d bet hall will be a NYI in the next few days. It makes too much sense. He won’t cost a a lot in terms of assets and isles are one of the only teams that can take on his full salary

I really don’t like the idea of acquiring Hall. Don’t feel like pitching futures for a guy who’s currently struggling. I get it could happen, but I’m not keen on it happening.

As for Brown, that’s fair, though I get a feeling exposing Leddy/Bailey in the expansion draft would help from a cap perspective. I’m just not a fan of rentals, they’re what you do when you’re already a frontrunner, not when you’re a contender.

If Eklund is a bad reporter, I won’t dispute that, but I will also say I hear “so and so is full of it” every time I post something on this site. I’ve tried researching stuff, y’all still complain, and that’s why I just pull things out of my @%# now.

The isles have top 5 odds to win the cup. Halls numbers are bad because of the team he plays on. He’s still an elite player. I

What are the alternatives to Bellows?
Bellows creates an expansion issue for Devils.
