Are those good prospects coming back? I don't follow either team much but I've heard a bit about Palmieri

Career AHLers most likely, maybe one of them cracks a bottom 6. This is really Zajac and Palms for a 1st and 4th

Does anyone else have empty boxes where Zajac and Palmieri are supposed to be?

That he just traded garbage for a first round pick. Lou got robbed.

Love it, it's definitely risky, but it's one worth taking. Hopefully this proves to be the boost we need

Hilarious seeing all the fans of selling teams faced with the cold reality of a buyer's market. Even with retention, you're not getting the haul you think you are.

C prospects at best. Even for a thin Isles prospect pool these guys are at the bottom

Sure. Not worth the price tag. He’s a third liner at this point.

I don’t think a late first in a crappy draft is that valuable tbh

More valuable than what the islanders got in my opinion.

I could see that but I think out of everyone available Palmieri fit what the islanders needed the most. Honestly, I would’ve rather Hall just cuz he’s more talented but I can’t deny Palmieri is better fit wise

The lady doth protest too much?

Pretty sure the Bruins were in on Palmieri too. Sour grapes if you ask me. He’ll be a great fit on the Islanders.

Time and time again this league has seen players of palmieri’s style decline so sharply that it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he was a healthy scratch in the playoffs.

Take backes for example. Sweeney signed him at a similar age. Similar style player. I think the entire world knew it was a bad contract, the guy couldn’t play 6 months later.

Hm, interesting point, and you could be right and probably will be if he doesn’t find any success w the isles. We will see
