Description
Jets entice Hall to try to rescue his season (and his next contract) by finishing it with high scoring linemates and a top 5 pp.

Savard is brought in not just as a rental. I would like to see the Jets resign him after expansion. He is close with Dubois and is exactly the type of defensive RHD the Jets covet.

I would like to see Lowry reeking havoc in the crease on PP2. It would open up space for Ehlers, Dubois, Stas and Pionk. Copp hasn't been overly effective on the PP. I even toyed with the idea of throwing Stanley into the crease to keep Lowry fresh for the PK.

I agree, but word is out there that the offers have been terrible. I wouldnt give up the 1st...no freaking way. If the jets wanna trade their first then target a top 4 d with term.

Niku is not an acceptable return for Savard.

Absolutely agree. Or a guy like Savard if you can reach some sort of verbal agreement to an extension after the expansion draft. Otherwise, keep the first.
Hall obviously has the potential, but he has 2 goal this year... He's just not worth a first as it stands

I agree definitely not worth a first but is he even worth acquiring? Can you separate this season's Sabre Stink from Hall? This season his 2 goals in 37 games is bad, though last season it was 10 in 35 in AZ and 6 in 30 in NJ.

He would have tremendous motivation to prove himself. If he fails to perform on this roster with a player friendly coach then his next contract will be a show-me value deal, not the big payday he was banking on. Literally tens of millions difference on his future earnings. I'd show up to work with my boots tied.

Fair point. But the Jets don't have that much trouble scoring. Copp will get up into the top 6 in the event of an injury.
I just think for what the Jets need, they don't need to grab a name as flashy as Hall. The role they would need filled could be done by a guy with a much cheaper acquisition price.
