Dunn is an offensive weapon, he can play physical and drop the mitts when he needs to. He's a very good 3rd D. I think his value is maybe a late first and a B prospect or a 2nd and a decent roster player.

Toews is better than both of those players but NYI couldn’t afford his raise.

Agree that he may be more useful and complete as a dman but Dunn and Skjei are not really far behind

Toews is a top pairing defensemen while the others aren’t but his value isn’t a great reflection because flat cap and NYI being compliant. Same goes with Schmidt.

What are Dunn's weaknesses? There seems to be a catch with him defensively. He has been sheltered by STL and most of his production came off the powerplay.

i'd be more interest in a one for one type deal. Example, DeBrusk. But in terms of value, late first and a prospect or 2nd and a good prospect. So from MTL, I would say 2nd + Ylonen/Norlinder. If they had to to retain that would be fine as well.
