If you could play for the team you grew up cheering for and do so within the rights allowed by the cba, wouldn’t you? I know I would.

Maybe but I don't really like when players just go to their home team/favorite team. It's an unpopular opinion but it annoys me. Like Tavares going to the Leafs, Parise to the WIld, Suter to the Wild, etc. I rather stay with the team that wanted me and drafted me. If that team offers you the most money or is the best fit then its understandable

I knew I would get this:
PPG Rantanen 1.18, Marner 1.2, Stone 1.11
CF% Stone 54.4, Marner 52.2, Rantanen 61.8
Ixg Rantanen 6.65, Marner 8.02, Stone 5.26

So how is Stone better than Rantanen when Rantanen scores more and is better and shot shares. And don’t give me but he plays with MacKinnon crap. Go look up what Stone has done vs the Avs and what Rantanen has done vs the Knights.

I respect your opinion but I rather take Stone over Marner and Rantanen. Marner plays with Matthews and Hyman. Rantanen plays with Mackinnion and Landeskog. Stone plays with Stephenson and Pacioretty. There is a big difference between the players Marner and Rantanen play with compared to Stone. Those players would help Marner and Rantanen elevate their offensive numbers. Plus, Stone is the best one out of them defensively.

It's only 3 stats for a 30-40 game sample size. I guess they asked who's the best now, not this regular season only.

I get it, I just see enough of Stone and Rantanen to know I take Rantanen. The real underrated thing about him besides the fact people forget he is ginormous is he is a play driver from the wing not just a guy that benefits from his teammates (Landeskog is definitely the 3rd wheel on that line). Stone is a puck stealing wizard without a doubt, and you really can’t go wrong Mikko is just my guy.

Pick any advanced stat this year. But I’ll take Rantanen, his out put and being 4 years younger than Stone short term and long term, but I get the love for Stone.

I use at least 100+ games usually. I can understand the age and contract argument though, I just prefer the better all-around player.
