If you retained or added just a little to sweeten the pot it could work. He’s definitely not the first guy we’d look at due to the contact, but MP is a little overpriced himself

That one is probably least likely to be a “hockey trade”

idk i dont think pettersson is really the guy they should go after, if he had the same term as tierney id be okay with him but we probably have a LD core of Chabot, sanderson, brannstrom past next season. im just not sure pettersson fits

I think White's a better long term fit for Ottawa than Pettersson is. I think he's really improved his overall play this year, and while I think he's ultimately a winger not a C, I really like what he brings to the table. Of the three he's the last one I'm trading.

I was doing MP for White trades all the time back in Jan/Feb.

Not sure that fits what Pens want anymore though.

I’m looking to make the playoffs and have a chance at the cup, but I also think the pens don’t have to go the way of the Kings or blackhawks. I’d be looking to avoid catastrophe long term

Haha the Pens are a little past that. They have this year and MAYBE next year. This year is probably their last realistic shot at a Cup with this core. I`m not happy about it either but its the truth.
