Heres your center

Created by: jnowariak

Description
The trade is as much to open up the space to bring Boldy up during the season as it is to get a center. Not giving up much and I’m not sure we’d want to give up much more, Haula should be an improvement though.

No chance. NSH has no interest in a deal like this.

Give us a 3rd, and he's yours.

Why is there no interest? Is it because you need him for your cup run or because you think he’ll fetch that 3rd?

Guerin doesn't want Erik hauls. He doesn't want Granlund either

This has been made clear. Also haulage is a lockeroom cancer

It's been reported multiple times that there is zero interest in bringing back Haula. Just like with Staal and Granlund. If there was, we could have had them back a while ago, but Guerin doesn't want them.

For the record, this isn’t a nostalgia trip. Haula is one of the few centers out there that’s available and wouldn’t cost much. Not to mention moving Johansson opens a spot for Boldy. He’s also good in the face off circle and would likely be an upgrade over Rask, I’ve read all the articles too and I think BG wants to give the team a shot in the arm. Even if just a little one.

When Haula played for my beloved Gophers, his nickname was, “Haula-fame” because of his massive ego!

I do wonder if he's toned that down some now as he's gotten older and been though NHL several teams?

Those were my beloved gophers too.

I really do think there is something with Bjugstad being able to play with Rau again, I’ve tried to prompt Russo to write an article about it. I don’t know if he’s a “cancer” but we’d put him in a top 6 role with Fiala and I think he’d appreciate that. I’m also pretty sure his wife is from Edina, because of course she is. It’s a low cost upgrade IMO.

I’m pretty sure he wanted to play higher up in the line up in CAR before they traded him but Brindamour benched him. He’d be put in the role he wants here so I really don’t see an issue.

It depends on the price. I wouldn't give more than a 3rd + cap dump for Haula.

There was a reason I said 5th. I probably wouldn’t go higher than a 4th.

Need to give NSH a reason to make the trade. They are in the Playoff mix themselves after all.

Johansson has more points than Haula? I realize it’s not a lot but NSH doesn’t really have a reason to keep the team intact.

I liked Johanson with Fiala. I'm convinced they aren't going to make any trades this year. Haula would be a decent addition, but we had the chance to add him in the off season and we didn't
