TDL-JT Miller Value

Created by: MJOHNSON1201
Team: 2020-21 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 8, 2021
Published: Apr. 8, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
What is the Value of JT Miller for the Nucks? This is an idea I have thought about. JT Miller looked very comfortable in the C role and seems to have a nice FO% which would give Min some more depth down the Middle

Min-- gets JT Miller (and plays him at Center) and a 2021 3rd Round Pick

Van --gets to NHL roster players in Marcus Johansson and Nico Sturm (cap seems to work out). Connor Dewar a LW middle 6 Prospect with a scoring touch and the higher of Min 2021 Firsts. Johansson will come off the books after this year and give Van some more Cap space for next year.

Min should still have Cap Space next year for resigning Fiala, Kaprizov, Ek, and Hartman after Bonino, Bjustad, Dubynk, Cole, a Rask buyout, and either Dumba, Soucy, or Talbot (to Seattle) come off the books.

A downside for Min would be not a lot of available cap for injuries down the stretch..

Maybe another pick is involved?? Thanks

Is that a serious offer? Vancouver counters with Virtanen and a third for Fiala and Kaprizov

Minnesota counters with Damien Giroux, Nick Bjugstad, Zach Parise, Victor Rask and a 7th for Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes and your 2021 1st.

His numbers in Vancouver also shouldn't be compared to Minnesota as if they'd be the same had he been on this roster, yet you did it anyway.

That was in reply to his comparing the numbers and being wrong about everything. But he's 2nd in points, 4th in goals, and 2nd in assists for VAN, pretty similar to the spots where he'd be in MN. He's also pretty much even with the rest of VAN team for +/-.

I didn't make it, but yours was far more stupid than the OP's. He was at least in some sort of ballpark. You went full ****.

The first one was ridiculous so yes I raised the stupid level. The first offer was brutal.

Miller for Dumba seems like the most logical structure, but seems pointless for the Wild

Hokay buddy

As a fan of neither team Boldy would be the starting point.

A prime aged point per game tough winger/c signed for two more year is going to be extraordinarily expensive.

This isn't remotely in the ballpark.

Frankly I don't think this would get it done if he was a pending Ufa.

Trading with two years left? A top prospect and a first and a decent player.

As a fan of neither team, the smart option would have been to not try to volunteer your opinion on players/prospects you clearly don't know much about.

Look, I get you guys don't want to move Miller, but we don't need to be stupid about it.

Boldy is arguably a top 10 prospect league wide, and he's less than 24 hours from making his pro debut. Let's not act like Miller has that kind of value.

He most certainly has more. I'm not sure why you think one very good prospect is worth more than the guy in 20th in points the last two years?

Who is also 45th in goals and tough and signed through his prime for two more years at a bargain 5 mil?

I'm not a Vancouver fan nor wild fan but you're simply underrating the guy

Would love for you to show me the last time a prospect like Boldy was moved, and for what, since the other guy couldn't.

Who says I don't know much about them? I'm just pointing out I'm not as biased as people with tinted view. Such as you thinking Boldy is an open and shut top 10 prospect who can't be moved for a guy like Miller.

Like when brunnstrom was considerdd the 8th to 10 best d prospect in the league and was traded for stone as a pending Ufa.

Or Brayden schenn as a top prospect was traded with Simmonds for Richards and a first I believe. Top prospects are moved and Miller has been more succesful in the last two years than any forward Minnesota has had the last 5. Kaprizov looks like he could do better in the future but you are serveerely underrating miller

Brannstrom and a second for Stone as a pending Ufa vs Miller who is signed for two more years

It's not happening unless Boldy is part of the deal

Yeah this trade really isn't a fit. Neither team would be willing to cough up the value to get the piece(s) they'd want
