All of those trades favor NJ to a ridiculous degree. No room for negotiations, just three direct, “no.”

IDK that Butcher would even be a regular on Boston's defense when it's healthy.

Butcher is same player he has always been.
He just got pushed out of lineup by Smith, Kulikov and Murray.
They more likely deal would be Kulikov or Murray for pick.
And Butcher returns to Devils top-6.

I believe Dubas said Sandin was the one guy they weren’t trading. It was when he was injured though, maybe something has changed.

Not the Buffalo deal.
Olofsson is mostly PP guy, not very good even strength player.
Devils would decline that one unless the 2nd is taken out.

They are going for a cup, you're right. & you wanna know what helps them better than this trade? ... Rasmus Sandin.

Hard pass.

there's always been talk that they're gonna give him more of a look over Dermott. Sandin is pretty much untouchable from Toronto management right now.

Not sure why you're confused TBH. My guess is you lack knowledge of the Bruins defense.

I guess you've missed the media recently. Or you're a troll?

He's also come out and said recently that a trade for a top 6 forward isn't as needed because of the play of Galchenyuk. He said before that he'd consider moving a top prospect to upgrade the team now, yes. But that was clearly taken out of context by Toronto media. Dubas was asked if he was willing to trade a top prospect to improve the team now and all he said was "yes". One word. What's he supposed to say? "No I don't wanna look at all options to improve this team while we have a unique chance at winning a cup"? .. No. Of course he's gonna say he'll look at options. When he was talking about the emergence of Galchenyuk he also mentioned that in order for him to consider moving one of the top end prospects, he'd have to be blown away and it has to make sense longer term than just this season. Sandin and Robertson are off the table. That seems pretty clear. The "top prospects" he was likely referring to were Liljegren, Amirov (maybe), Hirvonen, Hallander, Niemela, etc. Which are the 2nd tier guys, but not the top top talent because both Sandin and Robertson are likely to help the team in the playoffs this season. They're not being moved unless you blow Dubas away with a star calibre player with years of control left: this deal is far from that.

... you forgot to mention that he can't do anything at 5v5 and virtually only scores on the PP

So what? So we have to trade him for the second round and the guy who scored 7 points in the NHL? Olofsson's goals and passes are still valuable to us, while he has begun to score at ES lately.

I didn't say he had to be moved at all. You were just clearly trying to overrate him by pointing out his stats when you failed to mention that he has 42% of points come from the powerplay where he should be scoring cause they have an extra player. That doesn't scream an extremely valuable player.

Well, firstly it was not me, but another poster, and secondly Olofsson will definitely cost more due to many factors, but definitely not Boqvist + 2nd, it's not even interesting.
