Don't like that Preds deal at all. No idea who that prospect is, but Bears puck moving ability would be foolish to give up on. He took a small step back after his concussion, but he has 2nd pairing written all over him.

I agree but I want the other three more than Bear.

      NSH declines
Afanasyev plus a second for another defensemen doesnt make sense from a roster perspective

Also not sure NSH accepts this trade straight up

I’m not against moving bear but need a legitimate player back that can have immediate impact on roster.
Do get why some will be dead set against moving bear at all it’s between him or Barrie I am leaned more towards Barrie because prefer experience over youth in that specific role.

I am aware, Bear is good. I think Barrie is a good fit for Connor and Leon with tons of offense. He's still getting acquainted here to a certain extent and his defensive game could improve some over time. Also if we get a couple decent prospects that could help out with the cap a lot down the line.

He's 30. Expecting his defensive game to improve over time is hilarious.

Signing Barrie ($5.5M) and trading Bear ($2M) to "help out with the cap" is also hilarious.

Glad you are entertained :-). Per the cap, I think Bear is good and will get paid in the next couple of years. But yea it doesn't help the cap out today obviously.
